I have tried all the solutions I have read in other posts but I am having same problem. I can connect to the Internet via ethernet, but not wireless. I can't see my wireless adapter in my device manager. I had to get the number from the card itself. I have tried to download the broadcom drivers but the computer is not recongnizing the driver. I have also tried hard reboot and default BIOS but still no internet and the same orange light. I have upgraded to windows 7 ultimate but that was a couple of years ago and haven't had a problem until a week ago. I think it was after an hp update the problem started. I have also tried to reset to an earlier date but still no joy. I would appreciate any assistance you can give.
hi thesame thing happened to my laptop today it is also a compaq cq45 i dont no what has caused this.i did try to follow your instructions but i couldnt really understand. but so far i have restarted the computer
